Aurora Africa Trust - Angola School Project

Who we are

Aurora Africa Trust seeks to help disadvantaged young people in the country of Angola get education as a way out of poverty.

Through practical assistance, specifically by supporting the Angola School Project we are eager to play a part in helping new generation of Angolans get the education they need to become valuable and responsible adults who will contribute to their welfare and of their country.

Angola is situated in Southwestern Africa, and has just come out of four decades of an atrocious war. Every aspect of life has been seriously affected by the ongoing unrest in the country and specially education sector has had its share of devastation.

The need for education is urgent because it is estimated that around 70% of the 12 millions inhabitants in this country are under 24 and more than half are children. Many of these have never been to school or have been only sporadically in school.

In a country emerging from a long and brutal war, where the majority of the population is so young the consequences of lack of proper, solid education are unimaginable.

As peace consolidates there has never been a better opportunity in Angola for sowing the seed for self-reliance and prosperity for the future.
