The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) is the umbrella under which our three services sit:

  • Two local air ambulances - Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA)

Our critical care paramedics, trauma doctors and pilots fly an average of six rescue missions a day. Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering lifesaving care at road traffic collisions, sports events, and industrial accidents or for medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke. Our rapid response service gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery.

  •  The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA)

Our national service, flying critically ill children from one hospital to another for specialist care. It is the first and only dedicated paediatric helicopter emergency transfer service in the country. The bespoke, specialist equipment on board our helicopter provides a flying intensive care unit for children. With flight times commonly around four times quicker than transfer by road, in many cases, the time saved means a life saved.

We do not receive any government funding and rely entirely on donations to raise the money needed for each mission. Your support will help keep us flying.
