It's My Life Trust Fund
Who we are
What the Trust Fund does..
We aim to relieve the needs of children with neurological conditions through the provision of Conductive Education, equipment and courses.
Its My Life Trust, working in Beth's Grammar School. This provision increases availability and accessibility through funded weekly sessions and intensive courses with the aim of establishing a full-time centre of excellence.
What is Conductive Education?
Developed at the world famous PETO institute in Hungary, conductive education challenges the conventional medical approaches, by providing a holistic approach to improve the physical, intellectual, social and academic abilities of children and adults with motor disorders. The ultimate goal being to enable them to lead independent lives. Huge steps can be achieved, significantly changing lives - a parent said of her son that after a 3 block sessions he was able to control his tummy muscles and walked for the first time.
Conductive education is particularly aimed at combating the impact of:
- Cerebral palsy
- Parkinsons disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Brain/spine injuries
How you can help
There are currently few centres offering Conductive Education in the UK, but we have a solution. We want to provide continuity for this particular group of children and to incorporate other children who do not currently have the chance to grow with Conductive Education.
Your kind donation towards the sessions or for equipment, will help towards the following - with our long term aim to build sustainable funding for the development of additional centres around the country;
- £250 buys a block of Saturday sessions for one child
- £300 buys an intensive one week block for one child
- £40 buys some handrails
- £100 buys a ladder-back chair
- £350 buys a stacking exercise plinth
- £12,000 per year to run 6 blocks of 6 sessions for 6 children
Our long term aim is to build sustainable funding for the development of additional centres around the country;
