African Cultural Association
Who we are
The African cultural Association was founded on the 20th of July 1984, and in 1995 the Organisation was registered with the Charity Commission as a non-profit making organisation.
Its main aim is to advance education in African Culture, history and language, and also to promote a multicultural Britain, while providing relief for people who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress, by the provision of advice and information in the areas of income, support, housing, immigration, health, bereavement and education.
We work with Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, and a good number of local and national partners in the voluntary and public sectors including Learning and Skills Councils, Regional Development Agencies and National Charities. In the last year we have advised in excess of 700 people, with significant employment barriers, and other pertinent personal issues.
