Oxford Citizens Advice Bureau
Who we are
Citizens Advice Oxford helps people in many different ways. Individual problems are dealt with through face-to-face advice, on the telephone, by email and through promotion of the Citizens Advice national website www.adviceguide.org.uk.
We campaign locally and nationally for improvements to services and the law.
Our services are free because we believes that it is everyone’s right to have information about laws and services that affect them, to make use of the laws where necessary, and to get access to the services they are entitled to.
Pursuing rights and sorting out problems can be an emotional and often time consuming business and this in itself may be enough to discourage all but the most determined or desperate. To have to pay would only encourage more people to decide they couldn’t afford their rights.
As a charity we welcome all donations that help us to continue to deliver this confidential, impartial and independent service.
Timely advice relieves stress and anxiety, keeps people in their homes and helps ensure then have enough money to live on.
