The Music Pool
Who we are
THE MUSIC POOL is a registered charity and as such we rely on a wide variety of support and donations in order to sustain a full range of high quality projects.
The funds we raise are used to commission our delivery partners - mostly the not-for-profit Encore Enterprises cic - to run the projects for our beneficiaries on our behalf, in accordance with our charity's objects and aims.
We are very proud to make participatory musical and other arts activities possible for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, especially aiming to help those least able to take part because of disability, financial hardship or social isolation. So much of this work goes beyond improving people's musical abilities - for many, it's valued for all the additional benefits of improving quality of life; whether through giving people a means to socialise with others, building confidence, helping with mental health issues or providing respite care.
In the present economic climate, it's increasingly a struggle to meet the costs of this important work.
Your donations can make a big difference - please help us keep this essential work going. Thank you!

"I truly believe without the project, our residents would be missing out on a great musical, social and entertaining session. Their lives and access to activities are so limited, surely, they cannot afford to lose such an important part of their lives"
- Therapy coordinator, The Martha Trust, Hereford
"We made some real progress with students that haven't responded to anything else. We got one lad who never talks and has to go to a speech therapist two days a week, to get up in front of the whole school and people's parents and beatbox. We didn't even know until afterwards that he had problems with speech."
- Music Leader
"My daughter has Dyspraxia, a condition which effects her social development, and puts her firmly on the edge of most social groups. The project has offered her an inclusiveness that she had not previously experienced... I further consider it to be one of Herefords' richest assets which should be nurtured through more funding rather than less."
