The Plymouth and district Deaf Children’s Society is the local branch of the National Deaf Children’s Society.
Our aims are as follows:-
- To support families of hearing impaired children by providing a forum to talk about all aspects of hearing loss.
- To promote social activities for families of hearing impaired children.
- The society meets regularly and is always keen to welcome new members.
We organise various events for all age groups including; a growing Youth Club for ages 11-19, Hip Hop for deaf only 5 and ups, Horse Riding, Picnics/ BBQs, Adventure Days, Bowling, Craft Days, Christmas parties, trips to the Theatre for the annual Pantomime and Residentials to name but a few.
We are Self-funded group and are due to celebrate our Golden Anniversary in October 2014.
