We’re a team of surgical, medical, ODP, nursing and midwifery specialists from NHS in the UK. We provide vital procedures for those in need at a charity hospital (B.K. L. Walawalkar Hospital Diagnostic & Research Centre) in Dervan, located in one of backward region of called Konkan on the west coast of India. The hospital’s focus is on the Ratnigiri district, Pune city and Mumbai city in the Maharashtra State, and in particular Dervan and surrounding villages.
The team is led by Dr. Sanjay Deshpande who joined the hands with few like-minded and motivated people like him and started conducting free surgery camps at Dervan way back in 2005. Subsequently in 2009 SVJC Trust was registered with the Charity Commission, UK under the registration number 1128077. The trust is also registered with HMRC for the gift aid purposes.
