Chatham Memorial Synagogue

Who we are

 Synagogue interior

Chatham Memorial Synagogue is a grade 2* listed building in Rochester, Kent, UK which provides a place of traditional worship for the Jewish Community in Mid and North Kent. The synagogue hosts visits from local schools and colleges and from members of other faith communities to promote a greater understanding of the Jewish religion and traditions.

The cost of insuring, heating and maintaining this beautiful synagogue are an immense burden on a small community. Therefore any donations are always gratefully received. Particularly at the time of the High Holydays it is traditional to make a donation to the synagogue.

We are always pleased to welcome visitors to our services and to look around the synagogue.
