QEF People

QEF is a national charity committed to providing life-transforming services that enable people with disabilities to increase their independence and achieve their goals in life.

We work with over 4,000 children and adults every year with physical or learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Whether it’s gaining new skills to live independently, rehabilitation after a brain injury or stroke, or improving independence through increased mobility and accessible holidays; QEF helps disabled people to fulfil their potential in life.

QEF Family of Charities
The QEF Group has four member charities, each separately registered, but sharing key functions.  Alongside QEF, these are:

Voluntary Association for Surrey Disabled (VASD) provides a high quality service to physically disabled people in Surrey and offers mobility and care products for sale and loan and wheelchair accessible holiday homes on the Sussex coast for hire.

Medical Engineering Resource Unit (MERU) aims to create new possibilities for children with disabilities by designing custom-made equipment to help them feel more healthy, safe and comfortable.

Sutton Shopmobility is based in the St Nicholas Centre in Sutton, Surrey, offering wheelchair loan services for people with mobility problems. They also provide training for first time wheelchair or scooter users.
