Who we are

The Heaton-Ellis Trust was formed in 2008 to raise monies required to fund "Next Generation Gene Hunting" research into hereditary or "familial" forms of Motor Neurone Disease, being conducted by Professor Chris Shaw at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, King's College Hopsital in London. The Trust has raised over £1.25 million which directly funds research headed by Professor Christopher Shaw. The Trust has no overheads or administrative costs. All monies go directly to funding the research.
