South Woodham Ferrers District Guides
Homepage
Girlguiding UK is an organisation which provides a unique girl-only space.
Girlguiding was set up in 1973 in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex to follow the Guiding Association principles to help girls and young women of all ages to achieve their full physical, intellectual and social potential in a safe enjoyable environment. Our rainbows, brownies, guides and rangers become part of a group of girls who help each other and are friendly. They develop new skills while having fun. They learn to think for themselves, and understand a little more about the world, its people and cultures.
Girlguiding SWF New HQ
After many years of fund-raising, Girlguiding in South Woodham Ferrers has now successfully replaced the old "hut" with a beautiful new building - Creekview Lodge. It has two large halls, a lovely big kitchen, and the girls' bathroom is currently being installed. After a year of building work, we moved back into our new Lodge in September even though it wasn't quite finished. We do, however, still need large cupboards to store our equipment, more chairs and tables, hatch shutter for kitchen, and various other items of equipment.
Grand opening and fete - Saturday 16th May.
