The Rugby Foodbank opened in 2012. Last financial year we distributed over 5200 food parcels (66 tonnes of food) to people in food crisis in Rugby.
We work hard to ensure that no one need go hungry in Rugby whilst in a crisis. Long life ambient food donated by the public is given to clients referred to the foodbank. We also have associated costs including salaries and utilities, and at times will buy food when certain items are running low.
In the run up to Christmas we know demand on our services will be high. Thank you for helping us to continue to serve our town so that everyone has food to eat. One day we hope there will be no need for foodbanks - until then we will continue to do all we can to help.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT.
Important notice- Covid 19
Many thanks for your generosity to those in food poverty during the ongoing pandemic. Our services are as necessary as ever and our team of volunteers is operating under strict health and safety guidance to continue to collect, process and distribute much need provisions to people in greatest need.
None of this would be possible without you - thank you so much.
