Who we are
....On the RIGHT(S) Track.....
where TRACK stands for Training, Research and Advocay, based on Community Knowledge
Salamander Trust is a tiny charity with big ideas. We aim to protect, promote and enhance the health and rights of people marginalised by societies worldwide as a result of their gender, HIV status or sexual and reproductive health. Salamander seeks to promote sexual and reproductive health with HIV prevention, care and support, within a holistic, gender-based human rights framework.
We do this through Training, Research and Advocacy.
We have a flagship TRAINING programme, which is called "Stepping Stones", used in over 100 countries worldwide and recognised by WHO and others.
Our ground-breaking RESEARCH with WHO, UNAIDS and UN Women and civil society partners involves those most affected by an issue - so it focuses on the key issues they face.
Our ADVOCACY work highlights the human rights abuses faced by people with HIV globally, which make others fear to be tested for HIV.
If you would like to support our work we would be delighted to receive a donation from you. Thank you!
