Saving Lives is a public health awareness campaign with an ambitious but simple aim: to educate people about HIV, and to encourage them to get tested.
A quarter of those living with HIV are unaware they are carrying the infection
Think about that: one in four of those with HIV are undiagnosed. What does that mean? It means they can’t access the life-saving treatment doctors can now offer; it means they’re getting sicker and they don’t even know it; and it means they may well be passing on the infection to others.
That's why we should all consider getting tested - because testing saves lives.
