Supporting The Lifeboat Fund charity - our 'short title' - is the best way to help save lives at sea.

Our sole aim is to help the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and the life-saving work of its volunteers.  All donations we receive are used in that way.

Over 4,700 lives have been saved by the 52 lifeboats The Fund has purchased since 1866.

Your donations will help equip the RNLI’s volunteers to rescue 22 people on average every single day.

Crew safety is a top RNLI priority - the equipment and training bought by The Fund protects RNLI volunteers when helping people in danger.

The Lifeboat Fund is the longest-standing supporter and one of the single biggest contributors to the RNLI.

The Lifeboat Fund is an official charity of the Civil Service and also enjoys great support from serving and former employees of British Telecom and the Royal Mail.

Our Patron is HRH The Duke of Kent.
