Hastings and St Leonards Voluntary Lifeguard Club
Dean's 24 hour Trail Run
To celebrate the club's 45th Anniversary Dean Baker has accepted the challenge to take part in a 24 hour Trail Run on 21st to 22nd October at Ashburnham Place.
Dean is not new to outlandish challenges, he has been part of the Clubs' cross channel relay team, undertaken a 36 hour non stop solo swim and swum the length of Lake Windermere. He has been part of a club team to run the length of Sussex (200 miles) and a 24 hour row. He currently holds the record for our annual boat pull which is dragging our rescue boat and engine over a 8k circuit.
Dean had completed every lifesaving award of the RLSS UK in a single 24 hour period too.
During this next challenge other club members will be providing First Aid cover to all the competitors.
Dean is completing this run event, not only to raise much needed funds for the club but to celebrate our 45th anniversary and to promote the club.
The club offers training from Rookie Lifeguard to Pool and Beach Lifeguarding. We also provide safety cover for sea events such as rowing regattas, sea swims, filming crews, air show displays and yachting events.
Please support us and support Dean. There's more about the club and contact details on our website - www.hastingslifeguards.org.uk
