Reubens Retreat

Reubens Retreat

Who we are

Reuben’s Retreat was born out of the tragic loss of Reuben Michael Graham in August 2012.  Reuben was just 23 months old when he passed away in his mummy's arms from an inoperable brain tumour.  His family launched the charity just two days later with the vision of helping families like theirs and to ensure that his short, but precious life wasn’t in vain.

Our mission is to relieve the distress of families who have suffered the loss of a child or have a child suffering from a complex illness.  We provide peer led monthly support groups, meditation evenings, weekend rambles, one to one counselling and holistic therapy sessions for parents & siblings as well as regular music & animal therapy, bespoke memory making and memorial events.  We also arrange UK respite and bereavement breaks allowing families bereaved of a child to remember and rebuild and those with a complexly ill child to relax and recharge.

We are currently renovating our forever home, The Retreat in stages.  When completed, it will provide a sanctuary for families to visit together and create special memories and magical moments that will last a lifetime.

Every penny donated makes a huge difference to families and helps us continue to deliver Reuben's Legacy.
