The British Academy of Film and Television Arts - BAFTA - is a world-leading independent arts charity.

As well as our Awards ceremonies, BAFTA has a year-round programme of learning events and initiatives which offer unique access to some of the world’s most inspiring talent through workshops, masterclasses, scholarships, lectures and mentoring schemes. This includes our BAFA Kids activities, aimed at children aged 7-14 and their families, where we provide an entertaining introduction to the world of film, games and television, in a safe, professionally run environment with their favourite presenters and characters.

Our Easter and Christmas Children’s Hospice Screenings are a long standing and well-loved part of BAFTA Kids’ initiatives, providing accessible and exclusively available screening venues for children with life limiting conditions and their families, with seasonal activities and entertainment as well as the main feature, to create a really special event for every guest.

Typically, we rely on income from membership subscriptions, individual donations, trusts, foundations and corporate partnerships to support our ongoing outreach work, but each year, due to our association with The Prince’s Charity Forum, we are fortunate to be able to offer several members of the public an opportunity to run in the Virgin Money London Marathon and raise funds for our BAFTA Kid’s activities.
