Suffolk Lowland Search And Rescue.
Who we are
We are a voluntary organisation which is part of Lowland Rescue. We are normally called out by Suffolk Constabulary, but we also respond to calls from other search teams in neighbouring counties.
We mainly search for vulnerable missing persons (known as MISPERS). This can be some one with Alzheimers who are simply lost to some one with mental health issues who has decided to take their own life. SULSAR is a registered charity & therefore we rely entirely on donations and sponsorship .
SULSAR was founded in April 1998 when foot teams only were used to search. Today sulsar not only has foot teams, but a Dog team, a mountain bike team, a first flood responder team and the latest state of art digital mapping. Constant ongoing training and call outs keep us well up to a high standard.
In 2015 sulsar members attended 36 call outs in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex durring all hours of day and night. we can confidently say that we saved at least 5 peoples lives within those searches. Its a great feeling!
To keep the team going requires constant funding which is where you are assisting . We thank you for your generous donation.

We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in all weathers!
