Countryside Learning
Homepage
The mission of Countryside Learning is a simple one. It is to educate, inform and inspire children, parents and teachers, so they can enjoy and appreciate the countryside while having a greater understanding of the wide range of issues surrounding it.
We make it possible for children across the UK to experience the countryside, often for the first time. Every year, we reach up to 20,000 children through our programme of events including Countryside Live, Estate Days and Woodland Days, whilst our Farms for Schools members reach a further 300,000.Our programme makes real and lasting impacts on communities and individuals across traditional divides such as "town and country". This encompasses a diverse range of ethnicities, faiths, social backgrounds and cultures.
We offer an innovative way to create an understanding of the importance of food and farming to the nation's health.
