The charitable fund raises fund for the The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) for the hospital to improve facilities and environment for patients, their realtives and carers, staff and visitors to the trust. The RNHRD cares for people with long term conditions. Founded in 1738, the RNHRD is a small specialist hospital in the centre of Bath and is known locally as ‘The Min’. It has an international reputation for research and expertise in rheumatology, chronic fatigue and pain management. The hospital also provides diagnostic, endoscopy and clinical measurement services. Although located in Bath the hospital provides care locally, regionally and nationally to those in need, of any age and background, including former military personnel. The hospital provides patient-centred services, where each patient has the best support for their care and rehabilitation, and also works as partners with patients and their carers to support them in the management of their condition.
