The Military Wives Choirs Foundation is a charity that brings women in the military community closer together through singing.

The first Military Wives Choirs were formed in 2012 following the success of the BBC TV series ‘The Military Wives Choir’ starring Gareth Malone, who is now our patron. Today, there are over 75 choirs and 2,500 choir members coming together to sing in the UK and in British military bases across the world.

Being part of a Military Wives Choir makes a positive difference to women’s lives by improving well-being, building friendships and developing skills. Every Military Wives Choir is led by a voluntary committee made up of choir members. The committee represents the choir and organises rehearsals, performances and fundraising opportunities in their area.

We work to strengthen and sustain our network of choirs for the benefit of generations to come, wherever our Forces and their families are based.
