FST is a Wandsworth based charity that invests time in children and young people, enabling them to re-engage with the learning process. We target children and young people aged between 8 and 18, who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, those that have offended or are at risk of offending, young people not in education, employment or training, and those socially marginalised.

We seek to empower, support, care for and give hope to all the young people we encounter.

What do we do?

We provide both alternative education and youth services through a range of effective and targeted projects including: One-to-one Mentoring, Youth Cafe, Personal and Social development workshops, residentials and a successful football team.

We work with small groups of young people and on a one-to-one basis to provide education, support and space that develops young people's skills, abilities and personalities enabling them to grow into mature, responsible adults. We also aim to build lasting relationships that will provide encouragement and a solid platform from which young people feel able to make positive choices about their lives, overcoming many of the challenges they face.

Our Learn2Live project involves delivering twice weekly social development workshops to secondary aged pupils that have been excluded from school. In the last three years 49% of leavers have returned to full time education, despite supporting some of the most challenging and vulnerable children.

In 2017/18 73% of those we mentored re-engaged with education. We delivered over 500 hours of mentoring.

In 2017/18 125 young people attended Infuse: 31 learned new skills, 7 volunteered, 12 made new friends, 13 increased their confidence and self esteem.

To become even more effective and impact more young lives we must have high quality youth workers spending the right amount of time with the young people. We are increasingly asked to help but do not have the capacity. Please help us to help more young people. Your donations mean so much.
