Sikh 2 Inspire
Who we are
At Sikh 2 Inspire we want to share the greatness of Gurbani and the glorious history of the great Gurus who blessed us both with their teachings and their presence. We also have a rich tapestry filled with the lives of Sikhs who have walked the path of love set out by the Gurus that illuminates the Guru’s message. Our goal is simple, we want to inspire people with this treasure and encourage them to build their relationship with Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never heard of Sikhi before, or whether you’ve been travelling Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s path of love for decades, there is so much inspiration we can take, so much to learn and experience. This path can take us to a place beyond our understanding, but it has to walked, it has to be experienced. We want to help you take that first step, or that hundredth step, and at the same time we pray that Guru Sahib keeps us walking right alongside you.
‘Sikh2Inspire’ has emerged and grown successfully over the past four years; from a humble group of like-minded individuals it has transformed into an international network of Sikh Youth. ‘Sikh2Inspire’ is a UK registered charity (Reg Number 1152466) that relies solely on the Sangat's contribution and it strives to engage youth and sangat from various communities/areas across the UK and beyond.
Our concept is to 'power with knowledge' i.e. create stability and firmness within our own community regarding our faith and heritage through delivering 'parchar' in English. We facilitate lectures that help engage different members of the Sikh community, especially the youth, who often feel isolated/dejected from the conventional 'divan' structure due to the language barrier. Over time we have found that such 'parchar' has proved beneficial even for Non-Sikh organisations/groups as they become acquainted with a clearer sense of our identity and values.
With the grace of Vaheguru and the blessings of the Saadh Sangat our organisation has flourished throughout the UK, Europe and Australia. We have often been given the opportunity to work with smaller number Sikh communities that are geographically separated from high population Sikh areas (hubs such as London and the Midlands), who as a result of their ‘remoteness’ to the concentrated regions of Sikh population are often ignored or unseen by mainstream Parcharaks. This year we are also planning tours in USA, Canada and India. All members of ‘Sikh2Inspire’ are volunteers and take out time from busy schedules across the nation and travel to partake in this selfless cause of bettering the face of Sikh Youth in the contemporary world.
