What we do!

Who do we want to register and why?

The UK stem cell registry (Anthony Nolan) have a registration age range of 16-30 years. Why? doctors tell them that younger donors tend to make better donors and patients receiving transplants tend to have fewer complications. For these reasons we focus our activities on recuiting this demographic, young healthy well informed donors that will remain on the registry with the potential to save lives for many years to come...

So how do we reach our target audience?

Some of the student volunteers at Queen Elizabeth College Leicester. We have an ongoing programme of events at 6th form colleges and Universities, we train student volunteers who help us design publicity materials, produce films, help market the event and volunteer on event day to sign-up fellow students... our events provide an ideal vehicle for establishments and individuals wishing to express their citizenship and support for their community.

Signing up potential donors at a football tournamentWe also have an established programme of events at faith, cultural and sporting events across a range of communities, events have included significant religious days in the calander across faiths, music and cultural events, concerts and festivals and sporting events such as cricket and football tournaments.

A talk at one of our corporate supporters Paragon Law in NottinghamWe are also forming productive partnerships with corporate partners, we are able to raise awarenss through dedicated talks to staff and sign them up in the workplace.

We have many more opportunities in the pipeline... this just a flavour of what we do please take a look at the gallery which shows a cross-section of events and activites or better still please time to visit our website at
