The Greggs Foundation
Everybody knows the benefits of having a healthy breakfast, but not every child gets one at the start of a school day. We regularly hear stories of children who only get one decent meal a day, their school dinner, and children who are too hungry to participate in lessons.
The Greggs Breakfast Club Programme was established in 1999 to provide free nutritious breakfasts to primary school children and now provides breakfasts to over 22,000 every day.
The Breakfast Club Programme is available to schools that have high numbers of pupils who claim free school meals. Every school is provided with fresh bread from their nearest Greggs shop and a grant to support strat-up and ongoing costs.
From as little as £1,500 we can provide breakfasts for 30 children every day for a year but every donation however small or large will help us reach more and more children.
