MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology)
Who we are
MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) is an independent charity, providing public benefit through research and education in archaeology and built heritage.
Our Research & Engagement programme offers a range of research and learning activities, aimed at groups young and old. We help communities and individuals to connect with their heritage, engage in participation and training, and gain new skills.
Our current projects are:
- The Time Truck - Delivering free archaeology sessions to primary schools in 6 of the most deprived London boroughs
- CITiZAN - harnessing the power of citizen scientists to record and monitor the fragile and at-risk archaeological sites around the full length of the English coast
- The Thames Discovery Programme - training volunteers to record and monitor the constantly eroding archaeology of the Thames foreshore
- Built Heritage Youth Engagement - Working with Youth Justice teams within Greater London to provide new skills and greater employment opportunities for young offenders
None of this work would be possible without your support.
