Leith Hill Musical Festival

Who we are

Leith Hill Music Festival encourages a love of primarily classical music through public concerts, competitions and workshops. We promote young professional soloists and enable choral singing to everyone in the community. We are proud to host a Youth Competition amongst schools and youth choirs which is great fun and inspires amazing young talent.

Each year we present a 2-3 day main Festival at which up to 12 member choirs compete at first, but then join together in harmony at the end of each day to perform the pieces they have learned in front of a full orchestra and public audience. The public are also welcome to enjoy the daytime competition where choirs complete for various categories including own song, select pieces and ensemble. All in good fun! Our member choirs do not require audition - everyone is welcome!

Dorking Halls is our ancestral home. It was built to house the Festival in 1905 and remains a important local cultural centre today with Leith Hill Music Festival at its heart.

We wish to enable, educate and entertain in equal measure.
