Cure EB

Who we are

Cure EB (formerly the Sohana Research Fund) exists to find a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa -a very painful genetic skin blistering condition that leads to malignant skin cancer in young adulthood. Minimal friction leads to blistering or skin loss and is intensely painful. Internal body linings are also affected, including the surface of the eyes. Abrasions to the cornea can take days to heal and leaves a sufferer blind until this occurs.

There is no treatment or cure for EB at present and symptomatic relief is all that can be offered.

Cure EB funds medical research focusing on gene modifying and gene corrective strategies aimed at translation into effective treatments and eventually a cure.
