Maninplace has been responding to Telford and Wrekin’s homeless community since 2006.

Starting with just a handful of bed spaces, Maninplace now comprises of 20 properties offering over 100 bed, ranging from emergency accommodation, temporary shared houses, assisted living projects and longer-term bedsits and flats.

No night out

It’s our belief that everyone should have a place they can call home, one which brings security, shelter and comfort.   For many this can feel to far out of their reach, or they simply may not have the knowledge or life skills to maintain a home.

This is where we try and help.

A dedicated team of support workers provide a walk-in service for anyone who is or is about to become homeless.  It’s our aim to elevate someone spending a night on the streets (No Night Out) wherever possible.

For some, coming into accommodation is simply not achievable for any number of person reasons, for those people KiP will provide responsive support services so they can access emergency food supplies, bedding, shelter (tents), hygiene packs and advice if needed.

This can be a lifeline for those who choose to remain on the streets.

Beyond the front door

People seeking assistance with accommodation will be offered an emergency bed space, if available, at our hostel known as the Night Inn.  On a night-by-night basis, this will provide much need respite for those who have been actively living on the streets for a while or will prevent someone from needing to sleep on the streets when they first become homeless.

Our homelessness team provide a warm welcome at a time when there is much uncertainty and stress.  Providing round the clock support, we are always ready to receive the next person needing our help.

Moving forward

Maninplace also offers temporary and long-term accommodation solutions for those who are not ready to manage a property alone and still need the support of our services.  Our team of housing management workers and support staff will provide much need guidance and support to help people reach their individual accommodation goals and become tenant ready.

How your donation helps

Every penny of your donation is used to provide our service to the homeless community, right form the first point of entry at KiP to the day we say goodbye.
