The Bridge Trust
Who we are
We are a small independent charity based in west Kent providing accommodation and one to one support to vulnerable single homeless adults.
Single adults are not considered to be a priority, even when homeless, The Bridge Trust was created to provide a service to those who were vulnerable but couldn't receive help. We have 5 properties with 22 rooms between them housing up to 23 residents at any one time. Residents stay with us for up to 2 years. Each resident has a support worker who works with them enabling them to rebuild their independent lives. They provide support with debts, money management, education, training, employment, physical and mental health and tenancy training etc. During those 2 years, once the resident is ready, we help them to move into a home of their own where they continue to receive support for a further 3-6 months.
To date we have provided a home to over 700 homeless adults, and helped over 6,000 homeless people.
Our aim is not just to provide a shelter for the homeless, but to provide a home and a long term solution, enabling them to live full independent lives again.
