Parents Staff and Friends of Ashgate Croft
Who we are
Ashgate Croft School is the largest maintained special school in Derbyshire. As we are located in the centre of Derbyshire, we can and do take pupils from the local area as well as further afield within Derbyshire. Our main aim as a school is to provide a good education to all our pupils, so that they can achieve skills and knowledge to adapt to life after education. The school ethos is 'Building Skills for Life'. Our School support a mixed range of pupils from Reception age up to Post 16 and we currently have 138 places for pupils within the school. We have a vast range of pupils with specific disabilities and ensure that the pupils needs and developments are met and appropriate to their abilities as an individual. As you can probably imagine, the complex needs of each individual pupil requires different levels of expertise and resources and the school has to adapt positively to ensure that these are met.
