The Royal Gurkha Rifles Trust

Who we are

Since 2008, the RGR Trust has provided financial assistance for Gurkha casualties, or the families of those killed or wounded, whilst on operational deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq or exercises around the world. The Trust seeks to promote recovery, whilst addressing welfare needs and reducing distress of those affected. Embracing the family values of the Royal Gurkha Rifles, the Trust provides enduring support to those who most need it. Some recent examples of support given by the Trust include: Making a real difference, the children of those Gurkhas killed or wounded in action receive Christmas gifts every year, as well as providing funding to assist with the travel and accommodation for families of RGR soldiers killed on operational duty to attend various remembrance events in Nepal. The Trust also provides Educational grants for family members of our soldiers killed in action to allow them to support their families. Financial support to allow a number of Gurkha wounded soldiers to conduct a bike tour of the United States, promoting recovery through adventure.
