People Matters West Yorkshire

Who we are

People Matters creates opportunities for people in Leeds experiencing disadvantage in particular from learning difficulties or autism to be more independent and enjoy their life as they choose to live it.

Adults and young people can be isolated, rely on others for support, feel that their very common aspirations are unachievable or even get bullied. Our services are easy to access and members receive individual advice and guidance to make sure they get the right support for them. This may be one or more of our services including; care/support in their own homes and out and about, adult learning from how to travel safely through to arts and crafts, employment training that includes one to one job coaching, as well as have chances to meet up for social outings. We support young people and adults who are facing difficulties that are hard for anyone let alone if you have a disability or experiencing another disadvantage.

Progress is essential for everyone and for some it may be one giant leap and for others it may be one tiny step at a time but with your support through a donation, sponsorship, suggesting a campaign to organising an event small or large you will be enabling a person to take another step towards their goal.
