Haemophilia Scotland
Homepage
Haemophilia Scotland is a Scottish Charity representing the 2500 individuals and families with a diagnosed inherited bleeding disorder in Scotland.
Haemophilia Scotland provides direct support and opportunities for peer to peer support. This can take place online or at our regular support events & groups (Children & Families; Youths, Women's Group; & Adults)
We use the events to build supportive, mentoring style relationships, to build resilience in the bleeding disorders community.
Our information is independent and patient friendly. We provide information in a variety of formats so that it can be understood and accessed by as many people as possible.
We work closely with the healthcare professionals of the Scottish Haemophilia Centres and the Scottish Inherited Bleeding Disorders Network, http://www.mcns.scot.nhs.uk/sibdn/ further deepening these relationships.
We aim to facilitate progressive influential relationships with the medical establishment, voluntary sector intermediaries, government agencies, similar UK organisations and international partners.
