Royal Commonwealth Ex-services League

Who we are

The Charity operates outside the United Kingdom looking after the welfare of ex-servicemen, women and widows of Commonwealth countries who have at some time served the British Crown. Earl Haig founded the Charity in 1921 and its scope greatly increased following the Second World War. Today there are 57 Member Organisations in 50 countries, stretching from the Caribbean, across West, East and South Africa, the Indian sub-continent to South-East Asia, the Pacific and Australasia.
