The Sylvia Swiffin Trust was set up in 2011 in the memory of music graduate and Salford Teacher, Sylvia Swiffin. Sylvia passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

The Trust aims to give the love and appreciation of music to children and young people. 
We aim to inspire and encourage them children to make music and to enjoy the opportunities it offers.


We give awards for outstanding progress and other supporting awards, we help with lesson and instruments, and are currently active in the North West.

We have agreed a partnership with Tameside Music Sevice from 1st December 2018 and also provide annual awards at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music and directly to schools.

 We are supporting an area which has been long neglected, We appreciate any donation to help us.
