Who are we?

We are an ambitious non-professional orchestra based in Crouch End, North London, made up of musicians primarily living in Haringey and surrounding boroughs.  The Orchestra was founded in 1947 and is now conducted by conductor and cellist, Robert Max.

What do we do?

We perform full large-scale symphonic repertoire to North London audiences featuring a varied mix of adventurous and lesser known works, together with popular well-known pieces.  In addition to giving local people opportunities to play in a high quality musical environment with high calibre soloists.  Since the early days, the orchestra has frequently given a platform for young soloists at the beginning of their careers.

How can you support us?

Keeping a non-professional orchestra going these days is financially challenging as we do not receive any grant funding.  We rely solely on the kind support of our members and supporters.  We would be very grateful for any support you can give.
