Tenterden And District Day Centre
Who we are
Tenterden Social Hub is a place for elderly and adults with learning or physical disabilities to come along to and improve their quality of life. The Hub offers support, care and other services to promote independent living, giving a sociable environment and provides an opportunity for all members to join in activities.
It is a much needed service and the support offered by volunteers and donors really does make a huge impact on over 150 people each week. Local authority funding has cut to an all time low but this much needed service needs to run to safeguard local facilities for communities.
We also run services in the local community including Meals on Wheels, Helping Hands and can support people making appointments. This service alone ensures that people with medical needs can access fully the services they need to stay independent in their own homes.
Within the Hub we have two distinct groups of people but both have the same requirements and if these aren't met many more people could be isolated and vulnerable in their homes.
The Tenterden Social Hub is an amazing place and the staff, volunteers, members and the CEO who is running the Marathon this year would greatly appreciate your support.
