Darlington Association On Disability
Who we are
Darlington Association on Disability (DAD) began as a charity in 1986 led by disabled people. We are now also a company limited by guarantee and have a Board of Trustees. The majority of Trustees are disabled people who direct our work. We act as a focal point for consultation with disabled people and carers and manage a range of services and projects to support our aims. DAD is a Centre for Independent Living. We offer support and services for disabled people, older people, people who have a learning impairment or experience mental ill health. We can support people of all ages and impairments. Projects include Advocacy, Children's & Young Peoples Service Direct Payments Support Service, and Independent Living Hub.
