Christian Music Ministries Trust (cmmt)
Who we are
Christian Music Ministries Trust (CMM Trust) supports the work of Roger Jones and his team with its music ministry.
Christian Music Ministries aims to use music to share the gospel, minister in the power of the Holy Spirit and to equip and encourage individuals and churches.
More about CMM:
In 1973 Roger Jones composed his first musical, Jerusalem Joy, for his secondary school choir.
Over 40 years later Rogerhas a body of work exceeding 20 musicals and 6 collections. There are also two books, Worship Works and Spirit Works, written in conjunction with his colleagues Annie Routley and Helen Pollard.
Beyond a performance
Every musical contains material that challenges and encourages. There are times of worship, spaces for God to move and speak, as well as lyrics that take people right to the heart of the Gospel. One of the core values of Christian Music Ministries is that neither choir nor audience members will leave a performance with just a feeling of ‘Didn’t they do well.’ Instead of a fading memory they will have an experience of worship and the power of the Holy Spirit that transforms hearts and lives.
Beyond a musical
CMM is not just an organisation that performs and resources others to perform musicals. Roger’s musicals are an excellent diving board, enabling individuals and churches to move away from just paddling, diving deeper into worship and life in the Holy Spirit. Through seminars, workshops, and music weeks, as well as performances, CMM has a unique ministry resourcing and encouraging many in their evangelism and Spiritual growth.
How you can be involved:
- Invite Roger and/or his colleagues Annie Routley and Helen Pollard, along with associate musicians and singers to come to your church or organisation. CMM can lead anything from a musical from scratch in a day (Annie and Helen only) through to assisting with a larger production, including worship and Bible teaching for all ages. The team can also lead a Worship Works or Spirit Works weekend, using material from the books and music to provide ministry and equip for mission.
- Attend one of our events or music weeks. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page or ask to be on our email or postal mailing list.
- Volunteer as a vocalist or instrumentalist. If you have a heart for the Gospel you are welcome to join our network of volunteer associates. Please contact the CMM office to arrange a meeting. Instrumentalists should be approximately grade 8 standard and willing to have a go at improvising. Vocalists please send a demo recording of your voice.
Intercessors regularly pray for us and our diary of events. Some are called to be Prayer Warriors, involving listening to God and being involved on our behalf in spiritual warfare (see Ephesians 6:12-13)
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be added to the Prayer Warrior list.
More than thirty years ago a charitable trust was set up to support Roger Jones’ itinerent ministry financially. Every month the CMM Trust (formerly EBRG Trust) provides a grant to Roger to support him and Mary, Annie and two administration assistants. This grant enables Roger and Annie to continue writing and resourcing, as well as to keep the costs to churches of CMM’s visits as low as possible.
Income from book and CD sales goes to Christian Music Ministries (CMM) which is non-profit making. This helps maintain publishing, promotes events, covers Roger’s travel and supports Tim Jones as head of sales.
