This page is dedicated to raising funds for the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton Lourdes Pilgrimage that is part of the Arundel and Brighton Diocesan Trust. 

About the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton Lourdes Pilgrimage

Each year around 700 pilgrims journey to Lourdes with the Arundel & Brighton Diocesan Pilgrimage. Our Group is made up primarily of those who need assistance and those who can offer service to others. Pilgrims are welcome form any age and below is some of the information regarding our youth groups during the pilgrimage

Children’s Liturgy        - Young people under the age of 7, Years 1 – 2 at Primary School.

Orange Shirts              - Young people aged between 7 and 10, Years 3 – 6 at Primary School.

Green Shirts                - Young people aged between 11 and 14, Years 7 – 9 at Secondary.

Red Shirts                    - Young people aged between 15 and 16, Years 10 and 11 at Secondary.

Encounter                    - Young people aged 17 by 31/8 following the pilgrimage, up to age 30.

The Lourdes Youth Teams exist to lead young people in the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton to an encounter with Jesus and to help them discover the joy of following him through building community, serving others, nurturing a relationship with Jesus in prayer and the Sacraments, exploring the journey of discipleship and connecting with the local Church in our Diocesan parishes.

About the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton:

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Arundel and Brighton covers the pastoral area of Surrey (outside the Borough of Greater London), East and West Sussex, and the City of Brighton and Hove. Over 40,000 parishioners regularly attend mass in our 83 parishes, joined by many visitors each week, and the Diocese has 94 diocesan priests, 43 permanent deacons, and supports 37 retired priests. The Diocese also has a total of 65 schools, which have been described as the “jewel in the crown”.
