40tude is an innovative and successful charitable organisation that is tackling colon cancer.

Colon cancer is the second most common cancer in the UK. 1 in 17 men and 1 in 20 women currently are at risk of developing this type of cancer, however it is one of the easiest to treat if detected early. 40tude recommends that you are screened regularly for colon cancer from your mid 40s, ideally with high-quality colonoscopy or CT colonography.

Since 40tude was founded in March 2011 we have raised over £1.2 million to support groundbreaking research at St. Mark's Hospital in north London, a world-leading hospital for bowel disorders. 40tude raises funds and promotes awareness of colon cancer via a series of events and physical challenges.  So far these have included six Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Marathons - a mass paddle over 26 miles on the River Thames - and eight Cycle Challenges in Europe. We have also completed two Adventure Challenges: a winter summit of Mount Toubkal, Northern Africa's highest mountain in January 2018 and 100 kilometre trek of the Sahara over four days in January 2019. Our supporters also take part in a range of personal challenges and sponsored events on behalf of 40tude throughout the year.
