Holly Lodge Community Centre

Who we are

Holly Lodge Community Centre is run by volunteers on behalf of Holly Lodge Residents Association and is a charity in its own right.

Located on the site of an old dining pavilion on the historic Holly Lodge Estate in Highgate, north London, we have two sites:

  • Holly Lodge Community Centre, at 30 Makepeace Avenue, and
  • Holly Lodge Nursery, one street away on Oakeshott Avenue.

Since the loss of council funding in 2013, we have set up regular activities and events for the local community, including a lunch club, which runs twice a week providing nutritious meals in a welcoming social atmosphere, a variety of art, music and fitness classes, and recently, a free film club.

We work in partnership with other organisations, such as  Highgate Newtown Community Centre and Queen’s Crescent Community Association, as well as with Camden Council to provide opportunities for young people's activities.

We plan to expand services to include more free or low cost activities for local residents, and to encourage young people to take an active interest in their community.

We are funded through the National Lottery, income from classes and voluntary donations from local residents who support our work.
