Swanland Education Africa Trust
Who we are
Swanland Education Africa Trust (SEAT) exists to transform the lives of children living in poverty to give them a better future. An amazing 99.5% of funds go directly to support the schools both in slum areas of Nairobi and in the more rural Ngong Hills, just outside Nairobi. SEAT provides grants to facilitate the care and education of children and young people from the age of 3 through their full primary education (up to 14). Children come from the surrounding slum areas and most are from single parent/carer homes. Some are orphans or refugees and many are impacted by the historical HIV pandemic in this region of Kenya. Our goal is to raise £8,000 per month to ensure these projects are set up for a sustainable future. We are also working with local community based organisations to ensure local support and long term viability is ensured. Our desire is that through care and education, we will provide support to help them break out of the cycle of poverty and to bring hope for a better future.
