YMCA Newcastle is an independent local charity that supports young people aged 11-25 and communities in the most disadvantaged areas of Newcastle. We operate 2 youth centres, a community centre and cafe and an urban mushroom farm that provides training and employment opportunities to young people furthest from the labour market. We provide crisis support and advice for those facing issues such as homelessness, family and community activities, health and well-being initiatives and employability schemes such as our Job Club.
