Kelly's Trust For Sick Children

Who we are

Kelly’s Trust was set up to help sick children living in Kent and East Sussex. Assistance is given for respite care, travelling expenses to and from hospital and other special needs. The charity works closely with the Demelza House Children’s Hospice, Ellenor Children’s Hospice Care and with KCC Social Services Child Care Teams.

Kelly was a local girl from Tonbridge and in February 1994, when she was 15, she was diagnosed with leukaemia. She bravely endured three years of intensive treatment, and it was during that time she made the decision to become a nurse to look after children with life threatening illnesses. Tragically she lost her own battle against cancer in May 1997 – she was 18.

The Trust was set up in her memory.
