Kinloch Castle Friends Association
The Orchestrion Appeal
People who visit the castle remember most of all the Orchestrion, built around 1900 by Imhof and Mukle in the Black Forest and installed in the Great Hall for the entertainment of guests. It has 264 organ pipes which imitate the sounds of flutes, piccolos, clarinets, trumpets and trombones, and a percussion section. It is some time since it was played, but it can be restored and an Appeal was set up in 2012 for this purpose.
Uncertainty about the future of the castle has meant the Orchestrion Appeal taking a back seat but ....
'Whatever happens to the castle we will save the Orchestrion'
The Appeal stands at £2,168
We need £60,000
