The Gurkha Museum Trust
Who we are
Gurkhas have loyally served this country for over 200 years. The Gurkha Museum ensures the future of Gurkha Heritage by celebrating, honouring and promoting the history and culture of the Gurkha Soldier and their continuing service to Britain.
Gurkhas today continue to protect and serve Britain with regiments across the UK and the World manned by Nepali soldiers and officers and British officers, a blend of culture that makes the Brigade of Gurkhas unique. Gurkhas are known for their professionalism, fighting prowess, humour and humility, qualities that distinguish themselves in a variety of roles from military deployments to training and public duties and supporting humanitarian efforts.
Through its collections and archives the Gurkha Museum represents over 200 years of a unique and historic relationship and celebrates the bravery and achievements of the Gurkha Soldier.
